Empowering Support for Life’s Demands, Relationships, and Transitions

Sometimes you are the one everyone depends on.

You may be supporting aging parents while managing your own household, career, and relationships. You might find yourself navigating difficult family dynamics, managing conflict, or supporting a loved one struggling with addiction. You may also be adjusting to major life transitions such as divorce or shifting family roles.

From the outside, you may appear capable and steady. Inside, you might feel overwhelmed, stretched thin, or unsure how to keep carrying everything on your shoulders.

Supporting others can be meaningful, but it can also be exhausting. When you are used to being the strong one in your family, it can be difficult to know where to turn for support yourself.

I provide counselling for adults who are navigating caregiving stress, aging parents, family conflict, addiction in the family, divorce, anxiety, and major life transitions. Many of the people I work with are balancing the needs of others while quietly trying to manage their own emotional wellbeing.

My Approach to Counselling

My approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, and grounded in meeting you where you are.

With 30 years of experience supporting adults and families in the community, I understand both the emotional and practical realities that can arise when family roles shift. Therapy offers a space where you can talk openly about what you are facing, explore the challenges within your relationships, and develop strategies that support both your wellbeing and your responsibilities.

I believe that each person already carries important strengths and resilience within them. Part of our work together is helping you reconnect with those strengths so you can move forward with greater clarity, stronger boundaries, and renewed confidence in your decisions.

Clients often value having a calm, supportive space to sort through complex family relationships, caregiving pressures, and difficult decisions with clarity and confidence.

Taking the step to reach out for support when you are used to supporting everyone else can feel unfamiliar. You do not have to navigate these challenges on your own.
